Dog Organizations

Pawsitive Training for Better Dogs supports the humane treatment of all animals. Below are some of our favorite animal-related organizations.

Delta SocietyDelta Society
Delta Society is the leading international resource for the human-animal bond. Delta Society promotes the important role of animals for people's health and well-being.

The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' (ASPCA) mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States. They offer national programs in humane education, public awareness, government advocacy, shelter support, and animal medical services and placement.

Association of Pet Dog TrainersAssociation of Pet Dog Trainers
The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) is a professional organization of individual trainers who are committed to becoming better trainers through education. The APDT offers individual pet dog trainers a respected and concerted voice in the dog world. We continue to promote professional trainers to the veterinary profession and to increase public awareness of dog friendly training techniques.

Humane Society of the United StatesHumane Society of the United States
The Humane Society of the United States is dedicated to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion. The HSUS seeks a truly humane society in which animals are respected for their intrinsic value, and where the human-animal bond is strong.

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los AngelesSociety for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (SPCALA) believes that animals, as living creatures, have value beyond economic measurement, and are entitled to legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection. They act as advocates on behalf of animals and as an enforcers of their rights and provide for the well-being of the animals of Southern California who are abandoned, injured, subjected to unfair or cruel treatment, or otherwise in need.
